Michelle Cardoso

I’d like to start off by briefly introducing myself: I am currently completing an MSc in Clinical and Health Psychology at the University of Lisbon with a dissertation on “Parenting Stress and Psychopathological Symptoms in Fathers of School-aged Children”. Driven by a passionate and genuine interest in the study and understanding of the joys and vicissitudes of the human condition I have sought a diversified path in my studies. While Clinical Psychology has always been my primary area of focus throughout the years, I also have a complementary background in Pedagogy and Communication Design as well as experience in customer care and translation. Integrating these apparently dissimilar areas has brought me a deep appreciation for the complex endeavour that is human communication and hopefully some insight on how we can engage people in meaningful, strategic and efficient ways. Having grown up in a multicultural environment, I was born in the U.S., spent my childhood in New York, moved to Buenos Aires (Argentina) where I lived during my teens and relocated to Lisbon in 2001 where I have been studying and working ever since. This eclectic experience has taught me to always have an open mind, an open heart and an all inclusive positive regard towards people and life.

I’m thrilled to join the team and grateful for the opportunity to work on such a meaningful and important mission!
