The Leuven RADICAL-CDG Conference 2026 will bring together researchers, healthcare professionals, people living with CDG, families, patient organisations and other key stakeholders for three days of scientific exchange and community engagement.
As the official kick-off meeting of the RADICAL-CDG project, the conference will provide an opportunity to present the project's vision, strengthen collaborations across Europe, discuss the latest advances in CDG research, and ensure that patient perspectives remain central to future therapeutic development.
Whether you are attending to learn about emerging research, connect with the international CDG community or participate in project activities, the sections below provide all the essential information to help you plan your participation.

Please note that the programme has a strong technical and scientific focus.
Representatives from AES-CDG and GlycoKids are expected to attend as funded partners of the RADICAL-CDG consortium.
Research outcomes and future plans discussed during the meeting are confidential and must not be communicated outside the consortium.
Attendance at the Thursday evening event is limited due to venue capacity. Participation is restricted to the RADICAL-CDG patient organisation partners (AES-CDG, CDG UK and GlycoKids).
Attendance at Gert's retirement celebration is also limited. This event is intended only for individuals who know Gert personally and have worked with him. It is a private event and is not part of the conference programme.
