World CDG Day Petition

Sign our Online Petition HERE aimed at supporting the declaration by the World Health Organization (WHO) to proclaim May 16th, as the official World Congenital Disorders of Glycosylation (CDG) Awareness Day around the globe.

In light of the lack of awareness and visibility for Congenital Disorders of Glycosylation (CDG), the global CDG community has already initiated steps to formally request that the WHO declare an annual World Congenital Disorders of Glycosylation (CDG) Awareness Day. Such recognition offers great potential to raise awareness and understanding about CDG and mobilize support for action, from the local community to the international stage.

Through this effort, an official online petition was launched in 2016 aimed at collecting support among CDG patients, families, patient groups, professionals and institutions. We have already collected 6,656 signatures to support these efforts! It is our mission to re-energize these efforts and collect 30,000 signatures from around the world between May 1, 2020 - May 1, 2021. This will enable us to submit our request to the WHO to permanently and officially declare May 16, World Congenital Disorders of Glycosylation (CDG) Awareness Day by next year!
